I interrupt the continuity of this blog to bring you an important announcement. We both kind of feel like we’re done with traveling for a bit, so we’re going to stay in Cairo until December 1. We rented an apartment yesterday, and got our visa extensions taken care of today. We’ll be studying Egyptian (which is a dialect of Arabic), and taking in the sights at an easy pace. Our apartment has a guest room, so if you’ve been wanting to see the pyramids, now is a good time. Round trip tickets from LAX are about \$1100. From NYC it’s about \$100 cheaper. I like Kayak for finding what dates to fly on, and which airline to use. Once I get off my lazy butt, I’ll continue the regular narrative.
