On Wednesday Danielle and I went to see a travel doctor to talk about and get some shots. They told us to come half an hour early if we’re new patients, so we did. I don’t think anything happened in that half hour, except that I did my morning stretches. Then the doctor was about 20 minutes late. Then we each got stuck 3 times (tetanus, polio, hepatitis). None of that really hurt, although the shots were uncomfortable and my shoulder was a bit sore for a few days. But then the bill came. \$840 for a total of 6 shots and 2 little boxes of pills. That hurt. But we’ll be going back in a month for a second round of shots (yellow fever, round 2 of hepatitis).
