A helicopter from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department airlifts out a hiker who broke his ankle in Santa Paula Canyon. Really I should’ve gone with a slower shutter speed, but I don’t trust my hand holding at 200mm.

Another last-minute shot, but I do kind of like the abstract. There’s a lot of random little things to look at here. Maybe some day I’ll do it right, with more light and less pot.

Another week of no pics, so I spent some time with our strawberries this afternoon. Pretty fun, but the picture doesn’t have a real focus. It would work better if I’d made a bigger spiral. If you do like this shot, check out the work by Andy Goldsworthy. It’s like this, only good.
